The collective

Cinzia Mercuri

Realising that she uses her mobile phone more for taking photos than for making calls, she decides to enrol in a photography course. From here, a world opens up to her: photography not just as a reproduction of an image, but as a method of communication: “nothing is more eloquent than an image.”
So equipped with a mirrorless camera, she continues by attending other specialised courses: portrait, conceptual photography, and composition.

Thanks to an eclectic teacher, she meets and falls in love with artists such as Cindy Sherman, Jeff Wall, Robert Frank, and Doisneau.

One single image can trigger infinite reactions.”
